Services for William Allen Laughlin, 69, Norman, will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Mayes Chapel of Remembrance with the Rev. Dr. W. Glenn Doak officiating. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery.

Mr. Laughlin was born Nov. 16, 1917, in Concordia, Kan., to Durl and Della Laughlin. He served with U.S. Marine Corps on Samao during World War II. He was a graduate of Downs High School in Downs, Kan., and received his bachelor's and master's degress in education from Wichita State University. He taught history at Wichita High School East and at Norman High School and attended graduate school at the University of Oklahoma.

He married Mildred Knight on Aug. 3, 1947.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian church.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred, of the home; two daughters, Debra Warren of Norman and Barbara Krueger of Maryland; two grandchildren; and a sister, Mona Magaw of Concordia, Kan.

Bearers will be Dick Thornburg, Robert Swisher, John Skvarla, Osmun Latrobe. John Cochenour and Jack Watt.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2221 W. Lindsey, Suite 212, Norman, Ok ,73069, or to the First Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund, 555 S. University, Norman.
